- 2 cups chicken broth
- 0.5 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp fresh sage
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic
- 0.5 tsp kosher salt
- 0.25 tsp black pepper
- 0.25 cup parmesan cheese
Cooking instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large deep skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sausage and cook, breaking it into small pieces, until browned and the center reaches 160°F (71°C), about 7 to 9 minutes. (about 9 min) — Medium-high heat
- Add the garlic and sage, then cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. (about 0.5 min) — Medium heat
- Stir in the pumpkin puree, chicken broth, salt, and black pepper, scraping up any browned bits from the skillet. (about 2 min) — Medium heat
- Add the gnocchi and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Cook uncovered, stirring occasionally, until the gnocchi are tender and the sauce lightly thickens, about 5 to 7 minutes. (about 7 min) — Gentle simmer
- Reduce the heat to low and stir in the cream. Cook until warmed through, about 2 minutes; do not boil. (about 2 min) — Low heat
- Remove from the heat and serve with Parmesan cheese.
