Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken strips
- 4 flour tortillas
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 0.5 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
- 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
- 0.5 teaspoon kosher salt
- 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 serving olive oil spray
Cooking instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for 3 minutes. Pat the chicken strips dry. Place the flour in one shallow bowl, whisk the egg with 1 tablespoon water in a second, and combine the panko, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a third. (about 3 min) — 400°F
- Coat each chicken strip in flour, dip it in the egg, then press it into the seasoned panko. Arrange the breaded chicken in a single layer in the air-fryer basket and lightly spray with oil. (about 5 min) — 400°F
- Air-fry the chicken for 10 to 12 minutes, turning halfway and spraying lightly again if needed, until golden and the thickest piece reaches 165°F on an instant-read thermometer. (about 12 min) — 400°F
- Warm the tortillas briefly so they are flexible. Spread 1/4 cup marinara down the center of each tortilla, then add one-fourth of the chicken, mozzarella, and Parmesan. Fold in the sides and roll each tortilla tightly into a wrap. (about 5 min)
- Place the wraps seam-side down in the air fryer. Cook for 3 minutes, turning once if needed, until crisp and the cheese is melted. Serve hot. (about 3 min) — 400°F
