Prep: 10 min · Cook: 12 min · Yield: 6 · Method: Air Fryer
Ingredients
- 1.5 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1 small apple
- 0.75 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
- 0.25 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 as needed cooking spray
Cooking instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 325°F for 3 minutes. Lightly coat six silicone muffin cups with cooking spray, then place them in the air-fryer basket. (about 3 min) — 325°F
- Peel, core, and finely dice the apple. In a medium bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, maple syrup, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the oats and diced apple until evenly combined. (about 4 min)
- Divide the mixture evenly among the prepared silicone cups, filling each about three-quarters full. Let the mixture stand for 2 minutes so the oats can absorb some liquid. (about 2 min)
- Air fry until the oat cups are set in the centers and lightly browned on top, 10 to 12 minutes. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out with a few moist crumbs, not wet batter. (about 12 min) — 325°F
- Cool the cups in the silicone liners for 5 minutes before removing. Serve warm or let cool completely for storage. (about 5 min)
