Ingredients
- 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 0.25 teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 0.5 cup granulated sugar
- 0.5 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 0.5 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Cooking instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F for 3 minutes. Lightly grease the basket with cooking spray or a thin coating of melted butter. (about 3 min) — 350°F
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, pumpkin pie spice, and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk the melted butter, 1/2 cup sugar, pumpkin puree, egg, and vanilla until smooth. (about 3 min)
- Add the dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture and stir just until no dry flour remains. Do not overmix. Using a tablespoon measure, roll the dough into 24 small balls and arrange them in the basket in a single layer, leaving space between them. (about 5 min)
- Air-fry for 7 to 9 minutes, turning the donut holes halfway through, until puffed and lightly browned. They should feel springy and reach at least 190°F in the center. (about 8 min) — 350°F
- While they cook, mix the remaining 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl. Brush the hot donut holes lightly with melted butter, if needed, and immediately roll them in the cinnamon sugar. Serve warm. (about 3 min)
