Prep: 20 min · Cook: 10 min · Yield: 4 · Method: Air Fryer
Ingredients
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 0.75 teaspoon kosher salt
- 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
- 0.5 cup mayonnaise
- 0.25 cup sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon sriracha
- 1 serving cooking spray
- 2 tablespoons green onions
Cooking instructions
- Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels. Set out three shallow bowls: place the flour in one; whisk the egg in the second; and combine the panko, salt, and black pepper in the third. (about 5 min)
- Coat each shrimp in flour, shaking off excess. Dip it in the egg, then press it into the seasoned panko until evenly coated. (about 10 min)
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for 3 minutes. Lightly spray the basket with cooking spray and arrange the shrimp in a single layer, leaving space between pieces. Spray the tops lightly. (about 3 min) — 400°F
- Air-fry for 4 minutes. Turn the shrimp, spray lightly again, and cook for 3 to 5 minutes more, until the coating is golden and the shrimp are opaque and firm. The thickest shrimp should reach 145°F. (about 8 min) — 400°F
- While the shrimp cook, whisk the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha in a small bowl. (about 2 min)
- Transfer the hot shrimp to a serving plate, drizzle with the sauce, and garnish with green onions. Serve immediately. (about 2 min)
