- 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 1 small yellow onion
- 0.5 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 0.5 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 1.5 teaspoons kosher salt
- 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Cooking instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet or loaf pan with foil and lightly grease it. (about 10 min) — 350°F
- Finely chop the onion. In a large bowl, stir together the breadcrumbs, milk, egg, 1/4 cup of the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Let stand for 2 minutes so the breadcrumbs soften. (about 5 min)

- Shape the mixture into a compact 9-by-5-inch loaf on the prepared baking sheet, or place it in the prepared loaf pan. (about 5 min)
- Stir together the remaining 1/4 cup ketchup, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar. Spread half of the glaze over the meatloaf. (about 3 min)
- Bake until the center reaches 160°F on an instant-read thermometer, about 50 to 60 minutes. Brush with the remaining glaze during the final 10 minutes. (about 60 min) — 350°F
- Rest the meatloaf for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm. (about 10 min)
